With the all new Halo 3 Armor permutations, gamers can now customize their online characters to their liking. Gamers are able to choose from two different character’s when they play online. They can either be a Covenant Elite or they can play as UNSC SPARTAN-II, better known as Master Chief. The new armor permutations we’re first noticed during the Halo 3 beta and then later were found out that they would come in use during online play. These armor permutations can be unlocked by the gamer when they complete various tasks during the game.

As was mentioned before, gamers can either play as the Covenant Elite or as Master Chief. For the gamer who decides to play as the Covenant Elite, there are 625 different Halo 3 Armor permutations available that can be chosen from. The gamer can choose from 5 helmets, 5 shoulder pieces and 5 chest pieces to be able to make a combo of 1 helmet, 2 shoulder pieces and 1 chest piece for their character. Now since there are more gamers who generally choose to play as the character of Master Chief, there are more armor permutations available for this character.

If the gamer has decided to play as Master Chief, there are 6,144 different armor permutations available to choose from. As the same as the Covenant Elite, the gamer is able to choose from 11 helmets, 8 shoulder pieces and 8 chest pieces. This will allow them to make a combo of 1 helmet, 2 shoulder pieces and a chest piece for their character.

There are a few pieces of Halo 3 Armor permutations that come unlocked for the gamer by default. Other pieces of armor can be unlocked when the gamer beats the game on a difficulty of either Heroic or Legendary. Pieces of armor can be unlocked by collecting all of the skulls, or by completing different achievements during game play. The developer’s made these new armor permutations so that gamers can customize their online characters to their liking. Their character’s can now better reflect the gamers’ personality, set the gamer apart from all the Halo 3 gamers or just make their character’s look really cool.
