Have you ever noticed that birds of a feather flock together? Folks usually associate with like-minded people . In other words, a person’s collection of friends and family usually has a fair amount of people in it that are just like them.

Here are 5 easy steps to make the most of for adding more best customers :

Step 1:

Decide which customers you already have that you would classify as being the best client. The easiest way to do this is to pick one client that you (and your associates ) really enjoy having as a client.

Step 2:

List the profile attributes that had you think of them as a best client. Examples could be:

They are timely with payment.
They are friendly to you and your associates .
They are regular customers .
They are on time for appointments.
They refer other people to your firm .

This is a mock list and your list would be customized to your firm and the types of client you like to serve. The intention of this exercise is to set up a defining , of sorts, so you add more of the desirable ones – not just grow the numbers of customers . After all, isn’t that what you would love to work towards – only serving customers you enjoy?

Step 3

List a few other ones that also share these profile attributes. This technique is usually pretty eye-opening to see how many of your customers you really like serving versus the ones you would rather do without. (Using this process of gaining more customers will make room for you to get rid of the less than best ones down the road.)

Step 4:

Create a strategy of effortlessly and systematically letting the client on the list you just created know you value them. For example, What is something you could do that would be so unique they would be inclined to spread the word to all their center of influence and have a “Guess what I just received…” phone call about an action you took. It could be a birthday or anniversary card (although in many industries , sending a card is common-place – and not falling in the amazing category, which is required, for this to be powerful ).

However, sending a gift is not commonly done . How many of your client are young families that are now having children ? Sending newborn baby gifts would be so outrageously amazing and it is sure to be worthy of lots of conversations about considerate you are!

In fact, I would venture to guess if you did send a unique baby gift, you would be the center of conversation every time they looked at the gift. You would have to work pretty hard at losing them as a client after that act of generosity . And they would be sure to acknowledge your kindness !

What competitor in your niche is going to do this for those new parents ?

Actually, there is already a trend developing in this direction. Many professionals – physicians , legal professionals, insurance agents, real estate agents, for example - are seeing the value in setting aside a small percentage of their advertising budget for client relationship management. Customer loyalty and referrals abound when entrepreneurs thank their existing client for doing business with them by sending a small gift of congratulations for important events. The application of this strategy bears fruit in attracting new customers .

Step 5:

If you have completed the first four steps, get prepared for the appreciation that will be streaming into your office. And celebrate what a caring and savvy business owner you are in implementing this new strategy for gaining new client by appreciating the ones you already have.

For many, working from home sometimes solves a number of problems. That is why people are always looking for lucrative work-at-home businesses. If you search the Internet for information, numerous sites will come to your aid. Moreover, each one of them will guarantee you huge profits; for instance, some websites will try to attract you by saying “work only for a couple of hours per day and earn handsomely!” So, which of these ads will you believe in? Here is a checklist to judge how much worthwhile the offer is, so that you can find the best deal for your investment.

• First, research the market extensively and find what sorts of products and services are currently in demand. For example, various small businesses, whether franchised or not, are being operated nowadays. Neither they can handle all calls of the clients continually, nor can they afford to employ a secretary. As a result, several businesses are lost, just because people don’t want to talk to answering machines. But, how will these businesses retain their customers? Here, home-based telephone answering services can come to their rescue. The job of such a company is handling all calls of its clients, taking down the important messages, providing basic information and even setting up meeting with the customers of the client-company. You can certainly try your hands at these types of jobs.
• Find out your strength and cash on it. If you are an IT person, then there are various money-spinning work-at-home businesses just for you. For instance, there are several Internet-based services that can be carried out from home and in return, can bring you good money. 1-800-905 Geek and Friendly Mobile Computer are prominent examples of such concepts.
• Once you have narrowed down on a company, look for its support systems, because in order to become a successful franchisee, you will need a dedicated franchisor. Does your franchisor provide effective training? If yes, then you can definitely proceed. Also make sure that the franchisor gives you leads and you are not left to fend for yourself while looking for customers.

The above-mentioned three things are some of the basic points that will help you to find a good, profitable home-based business. Now, here is a list of industries that are pegged as lucrative for 2008:
1. Senior Care: As “baby boomers” retire, need for in-house senior-care is increasing. Try Home Care Assistance or Homewatch Caregivers from this rewarding industry.
2. Cleaning and Maintenance: As the number of working couples increases and people are finding it quite difficult to clean and maintain the house, this sector emerges as another productive work-at-home business opportunity. Some notable candidates from this category are Carpet Network, Floor Coverings International and Sparkle Wash.
3. Pet Care: People treat their pets as their children these days and are ready to go that extra mile to make them happy. Hence, pet mobile-grooming surfaces as a lucrative business choice for someone with a love for animals.

One of the biggest questions network marketers ask when looking to join the inter-network marketing revolution is “where do I start?”

It’s a fair question particularly if you haven’t any experience in working your business online. The answer is, look for a training environment that will teach you step-by-step how to utilize the necesary resources available to short cut the learning process.

Renegade University

2008 has been a landmark year for network marketers embracing the principles of attraction marketing. Ann Sieg has been influential in getting the message across that unless you’re working online, then you’re robbing yourself of a fertile lead generation pool which allows you to attract prospects from around the world into your primary business funnel.

When The Renegade Professional launched earlier this year, the prayers of network marketers looking for a step-by-step guide in utilizing Sieg’s attraction marketing principles were answered in no uncertain manner.

If you’re still “banging your head against a wall” trying to woo prospects into your business working offline then your more than likely getting hammered constantly by rejection.

Beat Rejection With The Renegade University

The problem with the old style methods of network marketing lead sourcing is it’s too hit and miss. In fact, if you’re looking for a reason why the attrition rate in the industry is so high then this one factor is responsible for a major portion of the 90% of people who drop out within three months.

Why?

Rejection…plain and simple. When you’re being rejected on a daily basis you’ve got to start to question whether network marketing is right for you.

Approaching people “out of the blue” and begging them to take a look at an opportunity is desperate marketing. It won’t get results and will eventually drive you right out of your business.

When your self esteem and ego take hits on a daily basis only the strongest willed person can handle that sort of mental abuse and press on by keeping their goals front and center.

The majority will quit declaring this stuff doesn’t work and the network marketing industry will suffer yet another image nasty vote of confidence.

But the truth is, this stuff does work and the trick is, putting yourself in front of the right crowd. So how do you do that?

Utilizing Renegade Professional

First and foremost, forget the hit and miss lists. Forget buying leads and spending unnecessary expense on phone calls which 9.9 times out of ten result in another rejection.

Build yourself a blog, a Squidoo Lens, a Hub Page - anything which will give you the ability to brand yourself.

Don’t know how to use the internet to market your network marketing business? Then check out the Renegade University where you’ll get the step-by-step training you’re after to turn you into an inter-network marketer.

What’s the point of this article. Simply to remind you that the resources to build your own attraction marketing empire are there. They are all around you. You just need to use them.

The following article is from a series of small business related articles and videos about raising business capital using government grants

Did you know that government grant money is used in public schools to help improve the quality of meals and to allow some school children to eat for free, who may otherwise go hungry? There is also free grant money for those students who need help with college tuition and other education-related expenses. Business owners can take advantage of federal grant funds as well. But it is not always as simple as raising your hand and asking for the cash.

If federal grant money was easy to obtain, then everyone would have pockets filled with cash to chase whatever they fancied. There is a lot of red tape and a lot of paperwork that has to be filed in order to secure a grant. Grant proposals have to be prepared. Business models have to be shown and even students have to fill out paperwork, such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Even the free lunch programs at public schools and daycare facilities are subject to a thorough grant proposal process. The body that is requesting the grant must show how they intend to utilize the money. All it takes is one simple error on the paperwork and the delay can cost you thousands in dollars and several months. But there are means to help simplify the process of acquiring free cash grants.

You can do one of two things. The first is to hire an individual to prepare your grant proposal on your behalf and help you fill out the required forms and paperwork. This is what many small business owners choose to do if they have no idea as to how to make a grant request. The second alternative is to become educated and learn the process of preparing a proper grant proposal. You will also need to learn how to fill out the appropriate paperwork required for the specific government grant money you are after.

The selection of the Affiliate Programs is often the most critical preference that one needs to make, right at the beginning of one’s online career.Having understood the importance of this selection it is imperative that we research the affiliate programs on set guidelines & norms, that could help us formulate a fool-proof mode of picking up the Best Affiliate Programs from the rest.

We all know that affiliate programs are more often than not free to join. But there are several others that have a cost to join. The obvious propensity is towards free affiliate programs which comes with a major drawback, that of being marketed of, by plenty of affiliates, posing stiff competition for you to make profit in them.On the contrary, the paid affiliates programs have fewer marketers endorsing them and hence ease in making money from the affiliate programs.

The next key criteria to be focussed upon, while selecting the best affiliate program are some important mathematical figures which include the payment structure /the frequency of making payments to the affiliates, the effectiveness of the sales page in terms of closure to sales etc Beyond these mathematical figures, the tracking system & its ability to retain the cookies of all referrals for a long frame of time is of great consequence. Thus even if a prospect made a purchase after a few months, you would be still entitled for the commission, since it was you who introduced him to the affiliate program

Also does your tracking system gives you detailed reports in terms of page views, hits & sales etc..Unless you do not have an elaborate tracking process, you would not be able to impove upon your profitability of your Home Based Business .All this data is integral to your success.

Creating an endless flow of relevant Traffic is the key to your online success.

The Sales page Or the Landing page is of critical importance. The massive efforts to drive prospects to the website will all go down the drain, unless the sales page is really influential in converting these prospects in to buying customers. To assess the landing page, analyse it with a matter of fact, practical approach. Don’t let your emotional self overpower your logical thinking.Despite this, if the affiliate program attracts you, your job is done

So what are some of the paid online surveys rules? You’ve no doubt become aware that surveys are an attractive way to earn extra income every month but how much do you really know about paid surveys?

We’re assuming you’re new to the paid survey market and are curious enough to at least check the viability of getting involved. Good for you. But be warned, while it sounds a dead simple way to make money, there really is a little more to paid surveys than meets the eye.

In this article, we’ll look at ten things you need to be aware of before taking the paid online surveys plunge!

10 Paid To Take Survey Do’s And Don’ts

1. Do your due diligence before committing to any program. Don’t jump in headlong to the first survey opportunity presented to you.

2. Check the eligibility rules especially if you are a teenager. There may be an age requirement you have to satisfy.

3. Look for solid advice on paid surveys even before you search the internet yourself. Check to see whether anyone you know is already doing surveys.

4. How to recognize the best sites – look at what they are offering, are they free, are they legitimate, do you feel confident with the site, are they showing testimonials from previous customers, are their terms of service clearly stated and moreover is their contract agreement reasonable, are they recommended by other people?

5. Head to online forums dedicated to surveys for further clarification. These are usually reliable areas for confirming whether an opportunity is worth pursuing or not.

6. Avoid paying a fee to simply have the privilege of getting access to survey sites. The same information is readily available for free. Again, forums are a good source of information.

7. Dedicate a certain amount of time you want to dedicate to surveys each day. The beauty of paid surveys is that you can do them whenever you feel like completing them. In most of the cases, you have a specified time limit and you should submit the completed survey within it.

8. Start with the more recognizable survey opportunities first. Companies such as Greenfield Online have been around for a long time and are well established within the industry.

9. Check payment terms. This is very important. If you live in a country different from where the survey is originating from then make sure you can get paid in the easiest form possible. This is a tricky area because overseas payments can attract hefty fees and if these eat into your commissions then it may not be worth doing the survey in the first place.

10. Above all, be on your guard initially. Avoid giving away too much personal information, be sure the company you’re dealing with can be contacted by phone and don’t part with any money of your own. These are important aspects of a successful paid online surveys experience.

Working from home can be a fantastic opportunity, but it is not everybody’s cup of tea. Building up a rewarding career by working close to your family may sound great, but it can be challenging.
There are certain guidelines that you have to abide by. Once you come to know these rules, you not only start enjoying your job immensely, but also get closer to attaining professional success. But how will you know whether you are cut out for this field? Discipline, ability of organizing or scheduling the tasks properly and self-assurance are some prime factors that yield good results in this profession. But you have to consider other things too.

One thing that you need to keep in mind while working from home is that having the freedom to enjoy your home surroundings doesn’t make your job a casual one. It is almost like a “real” office job with flexible working hours. So, never let your family, friends and relatives take you or your job for granted. Be firm and tell them you won’t be available for certain hours as you will be busy doing vital tasks. So, if you think that you have that poise of telling a firm “no” to their trivial demands, then rest assured you are ready for work-at-home jobs. Self-control is important too.

Being proactive is another key to running a successful work at home business. You may take part in social events, but only after completing your daily tasks. You are entitled to remain flexible and schedule your tasks as per your convenience, but don’t ever miss the target you are supposed to achieve. At home, unanticipated distractions are bound to happen, but never ever lose your motivation.

Having proper working infrastructure at home is another crucial thing. So, if you think you won’t jump into the bed beside your PC every now and then and will be able to shut the doors to distractions, then you can surely go for it!

To get necessary consultation in this regard, you can contact the associates of brandEXPANSION.

Lately I’ve seen a lot of replicated websites popping up all over the place especially for Global Resorts Network, but not only that for every home-based business opportunity that’s out there. If you’re not familiar with what a replicated website is basically it’s a website that was developed by somebody else that you have access to and you can use to market as your own website but it’s just a copy of another website. So it’s basically a carbon copy of an exact other website. These can be good and bad for several reasons. I want to talk about why they’re good and why they’re bad and why there’s a time and place for both of them.

At first when you are first getting started I think that replicated websites can be good. They’re like training wheels on a bike; I think that’s the best way to describe them. You know when you first start learning how to ride a bike you don’t just want to hop right on because it’s really difficult and you’re going to get really frustrated really fast and you can ultimately hurt yourself if you don’t learn the basics first. I think the same thing applies with replicated websites. So there is a time and a place, when you’re first getting started if you don’t know anything about marketing, if you don’t know anything about creating websites, trying to learn all of that at first can be extremely overwhelming. So with a replicated website you can learn the basics of marketing and lead generation without having to learn all the other stuff like tracking your progress and split testing, and I’m not even going to through all of that out there but there’s a lot to learn with marketing as any new subject; anything that you take on completely new there’s a lot to learn and you don’t want to try and throw all that information at once and learn it all at the same time, you want to slowly learn it.

The first thing to do, obviously, is to start calling leads. Start getting comfortable on the phone, learning what to say and learning the sales process. And as you start to get comfortable with the sales process you start to get good at turning your leads into sales. Then you want to start generating more leads and you want to start learning how to generate your own leads so that you can generate more leads for less. And when you start making that transition it’s good to use replicated websites so you’re not learning too much at once. So you want to break everything down. You want to learn the sales process, then you want to learn the marketing process, then you want to learn how to improve and really strengthen the marketing process, and that’s when you start to create your own websites.

The other great things about replicated websites is that you can get really good results really fast, because they’re turnkey. Like I said before you don’t need any website design knowledge. You don’t need to know how to put together a site and it’s quick, easy, simple. You see the site that you like, you get an exact copy of it, you pay a monthly fee, and you can run that website just like it was your own website.

The problem with this mentally is it’s the give a man a fish mentality. Okay, so you’ve heard the old adage I’m sure before, I’m going to go ahead and repeat it anyways. Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a life. Replicated websites are literally giving you the fish. They’re feeding you now, they’re feeding you today however there’s only so long that we can give you the fish. There’s only so long that you can just have the fish handed to you on a silver platter before you need to step up. It’s the difference of only having one fish a day, one meal a day to having five, six, seven bigger more extravagant meals a day and that’s not the best analogy but I think that you get the point of what I’m trying to say here.

The other problem with the give a man a fish mentality is that you have no control over your marketing. For instance if your pages only converting at six percent, the replicated websites only converting at six percent for you, there’s no way for you to improve that website for you to get better results. Some other down sides of replicated websites are there’s lots of people using the same exact site so the whole website gets saturated and it starts to lose its appeal because you do a search and you see the same website five times, the search will lose its credibility a little bit because it’s not original; it’s not different. You’re not separating yourself from everyone else. A lot of times with these websites you’ve got to pay really high monthly fees to continue to use the site and it can add up. It can get expense with all the other fees that are involved with running a business. And the biggest problem is that you’re not branding you. One of the biggest things that you need to be doing in this industry, in the home-based business industry if you really want to be successful, is separate yourself and brand yourself as a leader. If you’re using these replicated websites you’re branding somebody else or you’re branding something else and you’re not really truly branding yourself. And that’s really honesty what it boils down to is people are buying somebody that they like, they’re buying a leader. So it’s very important for you to learn how to brand yourself. We can talk about that a little bit later.

As with any marketing this is going to be a really huge key point. This is a turning point, this was a paradigm shift for me when I started to realize this with my marketing, is that it’s extremely important to go against a grain. If everyone is doing one thing, try doing the exact opposite thing and seeing what kind of results you get. For example, if everyone’s saying that the reverse funnel system is a great system and they talk about why it’s so wonderful and why you need to be getting in and there’s all this hype about it, then why not take the reverse approach and talk about why the reverse funnel isn’t so great; some of the pitfalls of it and some of the reasons that you should look elsewhere. Only do that if it’s true and you really feel strongly about that and that’s not the best example but again I think you get the idea of where I’m trying to go with this. You know find something there’s a lot of hype about that’s not maybe as great as the hype and expose some of the weaknesses in it or whatever but just go against. If everybody’s going one way, try to go the other way and test that and see what kind of results you get. In that example that I just used there you might benefit from all they hype. There’s a lot of attention geared towards, or there was at one point, towards reverse funnel system. So a lot of people are talking about it. A lot of people were searching for it. So you’d still benefit from that traffic except while everyone’s seeing everyone’s replicated reverse funnel sites, all of a sudden they see yours and it’s completely different. You’re probably going to get better results. You’re probably going to get better opt-ins because it’s a breath of fresh air. It’s something completely different than everybody else is talking about and it kind of provides some honest insight.

So at some point you need to take off the training wheels. There comes a time and a point where you need to progress in your marketing and you need to take things to another level where the one, two or three sales a month just aren’t’ cutting it anymore and you realize that by making a few changes and tweaks, you can reach a whole another level in your marketing. So you need to start learning to do things for yourself. Stop calling leads and start generating them. Stop using replicated websites and start creating your own and even more importantly everyday strive to make your website just a little bit better. If you start doing this, this is the foundation of good marketing; you’re gong to start to see good results. You’re going to start to see great results in your marketing and your results are going to start to improve daily and consistently and at that point you will start to build a sustainable successful business.

The most beautiful feature of franchising is that there’s something for every kind of pocket. While there are certain franchise ventures that cost more than $1 million dollars, there are also other concepts that can be started below $20,000! Generally, the franchises that cost below $30,000 at the time of starting are considered as low-cost franchises. But there are particular categories where even higher start-up cost is considered as low-cost (like restaurant, retail or hotels). Since these categories need big real-estate location, the price of the property pushes up the cost of starting a franchise.

There are certain things that you should keep in mind when you go for franchise businesses. Firstly, the low cost should not come with low support. The support of high-end franchises may not be there, but it must include exhaustive training, on-going help and initial start-up assistance. Also, check out the financial condition of the franchisor from the UFOC before signing any franchise agreement. That will protect you from fraudulent companies and franchisors with poor infrastructure. Hence, taking the help of a competent franchise attorney is also a must.

low-cost franchises can come from any field; but generally they come from the category of service-based franchises. These industries have lower overhead charges and don’t require buying products or raw materials (in most cases). That reduces the cost of starting a franchise as well as running it. Moreover, most of them are home-based, which is another reason why they are so economical. But, like everything else, low-cost franchises too have their negative side. No matter how successful you are, there’s a limit to the amount you can earn from a low cost franchise business. Business will be slow in the initial days, but as the running cost is not that high, it becomes easier for people with limited budget to operate the business. Below are some franchise opportunities that are considered as popular low cost franchises:

FiltaFry: Dealing with the job of cleaning oil in restaurants and other cooking places, this is a very promising franchise opportunity that is easy on the wallet.

Maui Wowi’s Hawaiian Coffee and Smoothies: The franchisor allows multiple unit owners and is one of the fastest-growing companies from the food industry. Its success lies in its thirst-quenching, energy-boosting smoothies and other refreshing drinks.

Liberty Tax Service: People love the services of this franchisor, as it helps them to avoid paying extra money as taxes. That is why there’s a huge demand for this concept’s franchise business for sale offers.

Are you tired of going to work everyday? Have your duties for your family interrupted your dream of being financially successful? If yes, then there is a way out for you! And that way out is starting a home-based businesses. Through this, you can enjoy working, but from the coziness of your home! In fact, home-based franchises have long been the bread earner for many who couldn’t go out of their homes. These businesses were also preferred by people who needed a second source of income.

There are many reasons why home-based franchises are so popular these days. Besides offering you the facility of working from home, most home-based businesses have come up as either low cost franchises or small business franchises. Hence, they are very easy to finance. Taking the franchise opportunity can make your process of getting loans smoother. Most franchise opportunity from this category need one or two employees. Hence, the running cost of the franchises is also very low. What’s more, many of them don’t need any raw materials or stocks; thus overhead charges are also reduced. Lastly, most home-based franchises give their franchisees freedom to expand according to their own pace. Hence, if a franchisee wants, he can expand the business by purchasing additional locations and shifting to a proper office space.

There are certain things that have to be maintained, if the franchisee of a home-based franchises to succeed. First of all, he is supposed to maintain a strict routine. He should designate a place in the house as office space. Moreover, he must make sure that no member of his household disturbs him while he is in his office. He should also keep a separate phone line and computer for his office. That may push the initial start-up costs, but is very essential for the smooth running of the business. (Will you want your daughter to hog the phone while you are expecting an important client’s call?). When he is in his “office”, a franchisee who is running a home-based business must dress properly. That will not only motivate him, but can also make an impact on his clients about his professionalism.

There are many kinds of franchise opportunities that are home-based franchises. But a bulk comes from the service industry and the home retail industry. Some home-based industry can also be van-based where the office is at home and the franchisee travels by custom-fitted vans to offer his services.
