Flat roofs are a type of building concealment that are almost horizontal and provide adequate inclination to permit water to run off. Usually, flat roofs will be seen more in dry, arid surroundings where pooling of rainwater on roofs is not much of an issue, but contemporary architecture has begun to feature this type of roofing in numerous homes. Just like regular roofing, flat roofs are made from a range of materials, some being more durable and long-lasting than others as a result making it important for one to pick wisely between the variety of materials flat roofs are made of. As explained at the flat roof repair site, flat roofs were commonly made of a tar and gravel based face, but now, a range of materials have been applied in the manufacture of this sort of roofing and flat roofs are now more dependable than they were before.

BUR: The Popular Flat Roof Material Choice

Among the different sorts of flat roofs, the most common is the asphalt built up roof or BUR. These sorts of roofs are composed of various layers of plies and asphalt and gravel is frequently used as a surface element for this sort of roofing. A chief problem for the asphalt built up roof is that the material degrades and becomes weak, causing it to be prone to cracks and leaks. It also demands an extremely energy-intensive installation procedure that also contributes some atmospheric pollution.

Alternatives

Besides the BUR, there are lots of other sorts of roofing materials for flat roofs. One of them is the Turbo Seal, a self-healing, gel-like membrane made with about 45% recycled tire rubber. This is set out over existing tar roofs then covered with a sheet membrane. another kind of roofing material that is increasingly gaining popularity is the cold applied liquid membranes. This kind of roofing utilizes glass fiber and gives seamless waterproofing around rough protrusions and details. It utilizes no open flames or heat sources. There is also the CSPE or chlorosulfonated polyethylene universally recognized as Hypalon, PVC or polyvinyl chloride, TPO or thermoplastic polyolefin, and Curon or cold-curing glass-reinforced polymer composite. And of course there’s always the EPDM material as described at the epdm roofing site.

Take Your Pick

Given the wide selection of materials to pick from, one can really pick the sort of flat roof that is most fitting to his needs. There are already some manufacturers involved in the business of making this type of roofing. Flat roofs have without a doubt progressed and advanced in terms of quality and durability and there is surely one out there that is the answer to any persons building plans.

When I first started online trading, my preferred things to buy and sell were transportation companies. Many sectors of the market had been deregulated for about a decade, and the real win-ners and losers were starting to be decided.

At that time I was working in the transportation industry, and was keeping on top of all the changes, because I had to for work. This, I felt, gave me an edge on any stock broker, online stock trading or options trading.

I divided the sectors.

There was surface transportation, air transportation and sea transport.

All three had their challenges at the time, especially surface. There were a number of the old line surface hauling companies that were suffering. They were facing stiff pricing competition from upstarts, which didn’t have the same costly overhead to deal with. These newcomers, in-itially, were eating the established trucking companys’ lunch. In fact, they were eating the breakfast, lunch and the dinner.

Ultimately, the industry consolidated, and put pressure on the upstarts and through pricing and good infrastructure, managed to eliminate many serious challenges. Once the industry consolidated, it made choosing winners and losers much easier.

Even those companies are cyclical; they still represented decent buys, especially at the low point of the cycles. The survi-vors would and could weather the storm and will be around even during the bad times.

Rail transport, as a sub sector of transportation, had already undergone major consoli-dations, so it was just a matter of looking very closely at the ba-sics, such as Price/Earnings ratio and Cash Flow Analysis. Once the technology bubble dust settled and the housing bubble commenced, it was easy to see that rail transport would be a winner, as supplies for the building had to be moved, and rail is still one of the most economical ways to do it.

Air transportation was trickier to pick winners and losers, especially after September 11.

I made one bad choice, where the carrier went bust, and I lost all on it. The second choice was much better, as it was a budget carrier and had been long established. Plus, the carrier hedged its fuel options and negated the rising cost of jet fuel as a factor in over all costs.

Sea or Ocean transport is very much a global industry. There are a number of very large players and market leaders, and once again it was a matter of just examining the fundamentals and looking at where the areas were for growth.

Creative Cake Decorating Ideas

You want to bake a cake for a extraordinary function, you know you are creative, and you know you possess some simple cake decorating techniques that you’re eager to try out, but you need a good thought to work with. Every celebration takes on a cake to be spread-out among the invitees and family members. It is custom to have a cake baked by a bakery, or to invite some expert among your relative to be a baker. If you have the honor to be the chosen baker, you should welcome some fresh idea for your next piece of art.

Below are a few simple cake decorating techniques:

- Characters: You have many famous characters to utilise for cake decorating. You can create unique and special cake by drawing in Dora the Explorer, or Blues Clues. Or you can simply divide the cake to make this cake into a favorite character.

- Themes: Perhaps you would like to go with a 50’s theme, underwater adventure, sport theme, or a thundering 20’s theme for your cake decorating. Be creative and find a theme that will thrill the person you are creatively designing the cake for, and the guests. You may want to have a masque party in that theme. Whatever it is that you fancy, have fun while partaking of it.

- Motor Cakes: Boys are commonly wacky about cars, fire engines, trucks, airplanes, helicopters, tractors, or boats. Again you can use your cake decorating expertness to make a farm with a 3-D tractor, a racing strip, or a scene showing firemen putting out a fire.

- Animals: You might as well use an animal theme by making the cake look like animals, or create a scene about animals. It could be a zoo scene with some animals or pick out one animal and decorate the cake with some various decorations exhibiting where it was from. Use your imagination.

- Food: Maybe you are making a cake to suit the opening of an Italian restaurant. You could create a scene describing the building, or if this is for the chef opening the restaurant, a scene showing some Italian dishes in the kitchen will be appropriate. You can also cut the cake to look as if is were hot dog, taco, a hamburger etc. The sky is the limit when it comes to cake decorating using a food theme.

- Holiday Themes: I think of when bunny cakes got popular at Easter, Wilton has pans and decorating supplies for all holiday cake decorating designs. A heart on Valentine’s day, or a 4 leaf clover on St. Patrick’s day is very appropriate to imply happy holiday mood.

- Your Own Creation: If you have been engaged in cake decorating for rather some time, or if you are a novice with an sensuous flair, you can design your own special cake the theme or the celebration.

Regardless of what cake you make it will be the center of attention as cakes ordinarily are at a celebration. It has become tradition to have a excellent cake at every celebration. Acknowledging that you have mastered some simple cake decorating techniques and you are the one who’d be esthetic enough to attain this cake, and the kudos you will get from others, will give you a bushel of satisfaction.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to actually LIVE in Alaska? When you’re trying to find Alaska Engineering jobs there, there are several things you should consider first. Let’s dive in!

First of all, let’s discuss the cost of living- it’s perceived to be very high and while it is substantially higher than in other places, it’s getting better, and is by no means out of control. A n evening movie is about $10, the same price as on the West Coast of the mainland, food is a little more expensive, with a loaf of bread being about 50 cents more on average than in the contiguous US, and gasoline is expensive as well- about a dollar more per gallon than elsewhere in the States. Housing is also disproportionately expensive, with a 1300 square foot home in Juneau (the state capital) going for about $260k, and with rent for a 2 bedroom apartment coming in at around a thousand dollars a month. Another major consideration you’ll want to take into mind is heating- an annual heating oil bill can run about two thousand dollars.

Just like many other places in the US that have high costs of living, salaries in Juneau are higher to compensate. In fact, many businesses and the Federal government (most notably the Postal Service) pay as much as a 25% salary stipend to help offset the high cost of living in Alaska. You might be able to get a stipend for working Anchorage Alaska Jobs as well, so make sure to ask the employer in the interview!

Even though the states transportation infrastructure is relatively scant, that doesn’t mean you won’t need a car, especially if you’re planning to live in Alaskas capital of Juneau. There aren’t a lot of roads into or out of Juneau, but the capital itself has a pretty good road network. There is also a very robust public transportation system in the form of a city bus network. Anchorage also has an excellent road system and public transportation system as well.

You may have heard that the state of Alaska actually pays its residents to live there and that is true- as long as you’ve lived in the state for at least 11 months, you will receive an annual government subsidy. There’s a huge general fund called the Alaska Permanent Fund whereby the state gives back money to its residents, based on the price of oil, the stock market, and other things. Since 1990, these checks have almost always been greater than 1,000 dollars. This is in addition to the fact that Alaska has no statewide income tax, and many cities don’t have any sales tax, either!

All of these things make working Anchorage Jobs a pretty attractive proposition!

First things first, protect yourself up.

Crown chakra and pineal activation.

In order for this to work properly, you must have already performed the Opening of the Third Eye. I KNOW IM REPEATING MYSELF BUT IT IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!

The effects of this exercise are extremely pleasurable. A feeling of lightness should follow. Some people may feel energy or tingling inside their heads, or completely covering their heads; a slight pressure in the crown area and intense euphoria. The pleasant light feeling is what makes astral projection and astral travel easy. The bliss state can occur hours and even days later.

When done properly, this exercise will stimulate the pineal gland and crown chakra.

By continually stimulating the pineal gland, it will grow and become active.

The pineal gland is the psychic seat of the soul. It is based on the Björk rune.

Opening this pathway is also very healing for drug addicts as it naturally induces extreme pleasure.

This exercise should be done only to initially open your crown chakra and stimulate your pineal gland. The vibration is very intense and effective, but produces quite a headache which can occur the following day. If your crown chakra is open, you will feel a lightness and a sense of bliss. If you do not experience these indications after a period of 4-5 days, you can redo this exercise again as many times as needed to open your crown.

After this initial exercise, there are different meditations you can do to activate your pineal gland and stimulate your crown chakra further. I will be adding these to the meditation section later.

1. Breath in deeply and hold your breath for a count of 4; do this 5 times. This helps you to be relaxed, focused and enter into a trance state. Then focus all of your concentration on your 3rd eye. You should begin to feel a slight pressure sensation or awareness of your 3rd eye.

2. Now, place your hands in the position where yoour thumbs touch and your index fingers touch. It should look like a pyramid. This connects the electicity and guids it to the crown and pineal. Take a deep breath as you did for the awakening one exercise and hold it for as long as comfortable - (do not push this) and release your breath vibrating b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b (vibrate with a deep, soft hum with the lips almost closed) The vibration should sound like a bee. The bee was sacred in Ancient Egypt and many other ancient cultures for this very reason.

It is ok to adjust your pitch. You should focus on and feel the vibration in your third eye, then focus on your pineal gland. You should be 1/3rd the way through of your drawn out vibrating exhale and feel the vibration in your pineal gland. Then focus on your crown chakra and feel the vibration in your crown chakra and continue to extend your exhale as long as you are able to. Breath in again, repeat this 4 times.

This exercise is extremely POWERFUL.

Now, VERY IMPORTANT - Remember to concentrate on your forehead (3rd eye area), then your pineal gland and finally your crown chakra. You should regulate the exhale so it evens out. This is done for the duration of each chant.

Summary:

1. Breath in

2. Begin to exhale, vibrating b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b

3. Concentrate on and feel the vibration in your 3rd eye

4. Concentrate on and feel the vibration in your pineal gland

5. Concentrate on and feel the vibration in your crown chakra

Repeat 3 more times for a total of 4 times.

Now align your crown chakra by visualizing it point down. Think of your chakra as a pyramid. Point this pyramid down so the flat base of it is on the top of your head and the point is inside your head.

Opening the Throat chakra.

To activate the throat chakra, fold your hands together as in the photo in my photo albums named throat chakra, also under the attachments. thumbs touching side by side- do not fold the thumbs. Take a deep breath; hold as in the other awakening exercises and then vibrate: “Nebo” until your breath is fully released.

N-N-N-N-EH-EH-EH-EH-B-B-B-B-OH-OH-OH-OH

The important thing is to feel it strongly in your throat, above the hollow. Do this 5-7 times. Remember- getting the correct tone can take some practice. The chant should vibrate your throat area. This exercise can be done once a week or more as needed.

Now align your throat chakra point down as you did in the above exercise. The upside pyramid in the middle of your throat.

Considered by many poker superstars to be “the best unknown player in the world”—a label first bestowed by Phil Hellmuth on Card Player’s “The Circuit” radio show, Canadian Yukon Brad Booth has firmly established himself amongst poker’s elite players. Long a mainstay in the biggest cash games in Las Vegas casinos, Brad plays in the staggering side action (including $200-$400 No Limit Hold ‘Em) amongst the world’s top players with the likes of Phil Laak, Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Barry Greenstein, and Johnny Chan. Booth has recently expanded upon his poker-playing repertoire to include tournament play, with results equally impressive to his consistent dominance in side games. Most notably, Booth this past June played his way to a third-place finish in the World Poker Tour’s Mandalay Bay Championship, earning himself a hefty payday of nearly $320,000.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canadian Poker Player Booth honed his unique playing style in the same sort of smoky, backroom games that poker legends such as Doyle Brunson and T.J. Cloutier once populated decades earlier in Texas. Unlike many of today’s younger breed of player, Booth, now 31, never read a poker book while learning the game, instead relying upon experience and an acute instinct for reading people and situations to achieve his success.

However, that acute instinct was a developed at price. Bradley, at the age of 16, felt as though his scholastic pursuits, within the confines of a classroom, had reached a quintessential defining moment - he made the decision to leave. Unfortunately, Mr. Booth had just negotiated with his parents that he would receive a car upon completion of the school year. As Bradley’s choices were mutually exclusive, he opted for a cover-up. In an endless succession of stealthy covert operations, he snuck out of the house each morning with his Little Caesar’s Pizza uniform taking the place of his books. He worked at the pizza parlour, funding his nightly romps at the poker table. Again, the undercover, and underage Booth, gained access to private card rooms throughout western Canada. As he had yet to secure the car at this point, young Bradley traversed the lower mainland on the good graces of his friendly neighbours. Often reaching into his pocket for his last $8 on a round of $4-8 Limit Hold ‘Em desperately trying to get three way action so he could get right back into the game. Unfortunately, Brad found himself destitute after many of his card room escapades- forcing him to hitch-hike to and from his house, work, and newly assumed night owl position as a burgeoning young poker room shark. As his parents were operating under the auspices Brad was both attending school and engaging in some very late night ‘study sessions’ - Brad received his reward of an ’87 Chevy Sprint to transport him, to and from his studies… at the card room.

It was those back alley smoke-filled card rooms that gave Brad Booth his flair and flavour. Utilising an unparalleled aggressive style, friendly table banter, and his carefree and effervescent personality, Mr. Booth quickly caught the eye of poker legend, Doyle Brunson when they played together at the 2005 World Series of Poker. Recognizing Bradley as a talent to bank on in the near future, Doyle signed Booth under the banner of DoylesRoom.com, an online poker site with many notable poker professionals. As a pioneer of the online poker world, Booth’s swift and assertive play has translated to some real world success. With some impressive cashes including $87,755 at the 2005 Fiesta al Lago No-Limit Hold’em, $48,300.00 at the 2005 4th Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic, as well as $43,935.00 at the 2006 4th Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic, coupled with the dedication and conviction required to sit in 16 hour sessions every day for 3 years; it is no wonder why this Yukon resident has caught the eye of this legend.

There is nothing in this world like a glass of cold water! Not only does it make you feel better, it also keeps your body healthy unlike its alcoholic counterparts! So, how do you keep water cool? A dispenser, also known as a water cooler, is your best option. It is widely used and is popular worldwide providing fresh drinking water whenever required. There are three different types of water coolers – bottle type water coolers, fountain type dispensers and bottle-less coolers– all meant to be used in various places within your daily life. So, are you thirsty to know more? Read on…

Wall mounted water coolers:

This is the commonest of the coolers and can be found in homes, offices, and airports. The refrigeration runs on electricity and it helps keep the water being stored within the machine, cool. The unused water is usually disposed off in the building waste system. The mechanics of this cooler is pretty simple – when you want to have a sip, you press a button which calls into action a spring loaded valve and you get cold water from the storage unit for as long as you hold the button. It is hassle proof and instant since you don’t have to wait for the water to appear at the nozzle.

Bottled Water Coolers:

These are very common in households where the aqua-guard hasn’t been installed yet. This water cooler is mainly composed of a large 4-5 gallon plastic water bottle that is placed on top of the unit in an inverted position. You can choose what sort of unit you want – ones dispensing cold water, hot and cold water, or the newer version that can dispense hot and cold water as well as at room temperature. Bottled water coolers are fast replacing regular water bottles, since they free space by doing away with storage of bottles, and provide clean quality drinking water as well, and are almost maintenance-free! Cool, isn’t it?

Are you seriously planning to buy a water dispenser? Well, we’ll weigh the pros and cons for you.

At first sight, Ebac watercoolers seem environmental-friendly, but they consume enough electricity to cough up emissions from 700,000 vehicles! So, look for coolers that are well insulated or have an attached timer – that could help you save 60-70% on energy bills and help conserve on the cooling and heating when they are on low demand.

The water cooler company sends their men to your house to install your machine, which would take anything between 15 to 45 minutes. They’ll do the servicing for your machine as well and will change the filter for you once every six months.

Lastly, customers usually prefer the filtered water cooler over the bottled one since the former does away with the idea of changing the bottles, hence saving costs and takes up less space and since they are sealed units, the growth of unwanted microorganisms is reduced. So what are you waiting for? Go quench your thirst now!

Hydrogen powered cars

What does a hydrogen fuel car need? Fuel!

Hydrogen gas can be produced using incineration of trash to produce the heat necessary to release hydrogen from both water and natural gas. While we may not be able to toss a banana peel into the gas tank and head off, that very same banana peel when used in a hydrogen production facility can ultimately be a key ingredient in the production of the fuel that will fill the tank of hydrogen powered cars.

Hydrogen powered cars can utilize hydrogen through several different methods. A hydrogen internal combustion engine powered vehicle utilizes the same engine used in the gasoline-powered production models with the exception of being modified to burn hydrogen fuel.

Existing cars can be retrofitted as hydrogen powered cars with specially designed installations to completely do away with gasoline as the fuel source. There are also kits available to modify gasoline engines so that hydrogen gas is added to the current air gasoline mixture.

Powering cars through the use of hydrogen fuel can result in a vehicle that does not leave a carbon footprint since there are virtually no emissions. Hydrogen powered cars are also approximately three times more efficient than traditional gasoline fueled cars. Electric cars use hydrogen fuel to generate their own electricity. The hydrogen can be stored in a tank, fed into a fuel cell where it is converted into electrical power, and then used to supply the power that the vehicle requires.

Production of gasoline in the United States currently requires approximately three hundred billion gallons of water to produce the fuel. Producing the same amount of hydrogen gas would only require one hundred billion. The cost of hydrogen per gasoline gallon equivalent is roughly half the price of gasoline.

The number of hydrogen powered cars will increase steadily as hydrogen fueling stations become more available. Starting in 2008, several hydrogen powered vehicles will already be available in limited numbers. Even now, every major automobile company is working on designing and engineering its own model. Some car makers are also trying to develop in-home systems that produce hydrogen, meaning that we could conceivably not only have pumps in the driveway to fuel up hydrogen powered cars in the future, but we could also supply hydrogen fuel to supply electrical power to our homes.

While you might think that safety could be an issue, a hydrogen-powered car is at least as safe as a regular car. High-stress testing has been done to insure that the tanks used for storing the hydrogen fuel can survive even the most serious accidents.

It’s never bad to keep thinking about other car issues as well, low cost auto insurance online in particular.
