Corporate recognition awards acquired for such things as best new product, best brand, best customer service etc. are a very overlooked strategy in marketing. They can be a tremendous source of ongoing business development for savvy companies. It’s not hard to remember a report you heard that a certain company was the best recruiter, or the best employer. These facts get covered on the radio, in newspapers in magazines bringing free PR. Recognition attracts new business partners, customers and employees.

Company recognition schemes are not limited to the private sector, but can also include the various government departments and the civil service. The recognition programs can be just within the country, the region or international. Countless numbers of Chief Executive Officers and/or their representatives depending on their importance customarily attend these award ceremonies.

As described at corporate recognition awards there are a variety of reasons that necessitate the formation of company awards and one of them is so as to improve the quality of services and products that are sold to consumers in the different industries. When there are many players in the market there is competition and that should spur on companies to try and outdo each other in the production of services.

Another reason is to make companies participate in community programs and support different causes like conservation of the environment, global warming and other similar causes. Security of the employees under one’s watch is also very important and companies often get recognition for the manner in which they promote the well-being of their employees.

It’s a fair bet if you are entering network marketing today or giving it another try then you’ll run into the term attraction marketing. Let’s get one thing straight though, attraction marketing is nothing new but in MLM, it’s a concept which has gathered momentum simply because the internet has allowed for it’s execution in a more targeted fashion.

However, despite it’s promotion as the key concept to attracting laser targeted prospects into one’s business funnel, many network marketers still struggle with it’s concept and what it actually means.

Here’s what it’s not. It’s not getting a prospect and hitting them up with a sales pitch about your company and products within the first few minutes you chat with them. Attraction marketing is using targeted prospecting methods utilizing the powerful resources of the internet and then adding strong presell tactics to guide the to where you want the to go.

But in the meantime, you give them plenty of valuable information and assistance which brands you as someone they will want to be involved in business with and if done correctly, a sales pitch won’t even be needed.

The Internet Network Marketing Boom

The attraction marketing approach has been made a heck of a lot easier with the internet being used as a breeding ground for attracting targeted prospects.

The problem with the old approach of lead generation when everyone was considered a prospect was hopelessly flawed and contributed greatly to the huge attrition rate with the network marketing business.

It was too hit and miss and amplified the incidence of rejection which is the biggest fear for most network marketers.

With the internet, rejection is kept to the bare minimum. How? By targeting your prospective audience. In other words:

- you create a blog or website or both
- you utilize web 2 properties such as Squidoo, Hub Pages and Wikidot
- you create article content which is submitted to countless article directories on the web
- You optimize your content with specific keywords related to your home business opportunity
- And you market and promote your online real estate to your targeted audience

The result? Provided your content is valuable and can be classed as take away and useful by your prospects, you’ll find that they’ll start to visit your sites on a regular basis, subscribe to your RSS feeds and subscribe to your newsletters.

And once they have entered your prospecting funnel, you start the pre-sell process. That is, you continue to feed them with interesting content, tips, tricks and recommendations within the network marketing business; stuff they can begin to implement right away.

In actual fact, you begin the training process from the moment they come into your lead funnel.

Now this is where most network marketers can’t grasp the concept of this. They cannot conceive the idea of giving away free information. All they want to do is get their prospects in a “headlock” and ram their opportunity down their throats.

In a nutshell, this will only drive them out of your funnel screaming and kicking. They don’t want to hear what’s great about your company or products; they get this pitched to them over and over again by other MLMers.

What they want to know is how you’re going to help them go from the starting line to a reasonable income and the best way you can do this is by teaching instead of selling when they first meet you.

It’s attraction marketing and pre-selling at it’s finest and remember, in the end, it’s you you’re promoting and it’s you they’ll join.

Struggling in a network marketing business is nothing new. If you are pushing the proverbial barrow uphill and not making any progress then consider this; the network marketing landscape is changing and changing fast.

More to the point, the way people are being taught to attract prospects is changing and if you’re still fumbling around using old school methods then it’s time to reassess your position. Ann Sieg drummed home some important points in her classic report about the 7 Great Lies Of MLM recently and confirmed what most have suspected for a long time…the old school methods don’t work anymore.

That’s not to say prospecting friends and family won’t get you the odd sign up but in the 21st century, the emphasis is now on building a business fast and that means attracting prospects fast and in numbers.

Okay, what are the 7 great lies of network marketing we’re talking about. In this article, we’re going to list them and see if they resonate with you.

7 Great Lies Of MLM

1. The first of the 7 Great Lies Of MLM is that everyone’s your prospect. In other words, you’ve probably been told to approach everyone who looks like a suspect; your family, friends, the local butcher, greengrocer, insurance rep…basically anyone within arms length of you.

2. This business is not really sales and no skill is required. In fact, people just share products.

3. Anyone with blood flowing through their veins can do this business!

4. You’ll have your business built for you. All you’ve got to do is sign up!

5. You will be dealing with the best, life changing products.

6. You are failing because you don’t have enough belief.

7. You will be working with a proven system. Simply rinse and repeat what you’ve been taught.

Now there is no doubt that this will resonate with a lot of network marketers and the truth is, the result of the above has contributed to an awful attrition rate - over 90% of MLMers will bail out of their business within their first three months.

So which of the above is the worst of the 7 Great Lies Of MLM? Undoubtedly, it’s the first. Why? Because the reality is, not everyone is looking for a business opportunity.

The result of going into MLM with the view that everyone’s a prospect is hit and miss prospecting with “the miss” factor being the overwhelming result. This leads to quick dejection resulting from constant rejection and in quick fashion, abandoning the business.

The secret to growing a successful network marketing business is targeted prospecting. Not only that, but putting your offer in front of a hungry home business opportunity crowd who will respond by chasing you for more information.

Now wouldn’t that be a change from constantly harassing friends, family and acquaintances and getting the cold shoulder treatment.

When starting any new home business factor there is going to be a certain degree of what is known as the overwhelm factor. That is, learning how to prospect, how to sell, how to recruit, how to motivate, how to mentor and just knowing how to run a business usually is enough to overwhelm even the keenest individuals.

When OTC came along a lot of the above was taken out of the equation simply because of the unique and attraction business model it provides. In a nutshell, it takes a new member and places them in an area where they will be the most effective,

That is, if someone hates the thought of making phone calls and contacting leads then they don’t. But if they have good marketing and promotion skills then that’s their role within the company.

Now in most network marketing opportunities, when a person comes into the business they need to be everyone of the above and for most, the skill level required to be successful at being able to perform all those functions is sorely missing.

Occupy The City

So what’s the answer? Well, in a nutshell, community based network marketing and that’s what OTC is all about. The concept is starting to create plenty of interest within the industry as more and more people look for ways to avoid certain aspects of running an MLM business.

What is community based network marketing? The short answer is, it’s a community of like-minded business people all striving for the same goal.

Whether it be an income target for the group, a member target or simply pulling together lead generation sources and avenues, the fact is, it has a very appealing aspect to it for many MLMers.

Now if you’re thinking “hey, this sounds to good to be true and I’m going to get involved and get other people to build my business for me” think again. Community based networking groups have a strict qualification criteria.

They are only interested in serious players. People need to go through several stages of interviews before they join. In fact, there is a commitment requirement that has to be met such as dedicating a certain amount of hours per week to the business.

But once someone clears these commitments, the process is definitely worth being involved with. The structure has network marketers assigned to certain roles. For example, if you are comfortable and good with people on the phone then that will be your area of expertise.

If you have good marketing ability and know how to attract prospects in a targeted fashion, then that’s the role you’ll be offered. And if you have good mentoring or coaching abilities, then yes, you’ll fill those roles.

Better still, leads work on a rotation basis and are shared evenly among active members. The knowledge that when a lead comes into the funnel and lands in your lap and someone with expert contact abilities is on the job interviewing and recruiting the prospect, is usually a huge relief for many network marketers within a community based network marketing system.

With attraction marketing becoming the buzz phrase within the industry today, the training level for OTC members in this area is comprehensive, especially on how to implement internet network marketing into an MLMers repetoire.

The importance of taking a P.I. course in getting started in the industry cannot be understated. You may have read elsewhere that in many cases, having a certain skill level brought from a previous profession or you don’t need any P.I. experience at all to get into the business may be true to a certain extent.

But to impress a prospective employer and increase your chances of landing that all important job in what is now a competitive field, having as much of edge is vital and that’s why a Private eye course can give you this edge over your rivals.

We’re not talking about getting information from an ebook but a course which covers both theory and practical aspects of the private investigator profession. Knowing things like surveillance techniques, online investigations and even how to apply for your first job comprise a small part of what makes good private investigation training priceless.

In this article, we’ll give you some leads on where to find a private investigation course and what to look for where deciding which course options are best for you.

Educational Facilities

One of the first ports of calls should be your local college or university. While they don’t conduct their own P.I. course there are those who administer them on behalf of third party educators.

GES offers a good course which is administered through colleges and universities. These courses can be completed online and usually take about three months. However, if you have interruptions during that period then they are flexible enough to be picked up at any time within a specific time frame.

Courses Run By P.I.s

Truth be known, these are probably the best type of P.I. courses. Why? Quite simply, you are being taught by people in the industry who have already worn the investigative path. That is, they have been in the trenches and know what’s required.

But many experts within the industry say you still need to make a distinction between P.I. teachers. For example, someone who is still practicing within the industry may provide more course benefit than someone who’s had a taste of it and doesn’t have a practicing license anymore.

A good P.I. course should contain a good balance of practical and theory. Also keep in mind, the industry now fully utilizes the resources available online so a module covering this area will be extremely beneficial.

Obviously, surveillance training is a big aspect of the industry but bear in mind many successful sleuths today rarely leave their desks and that’s because there is so much on offer online.

Don’t forget, while you are completing your course this shouldn’t prevent you from approaching P.I. firms. Many employers are impressed by those taking the initiative and may even offer the option of utilizing your services on a work experience level.

This is invaluable training in itself and if you are offered it then give it strong consideration.

The Renegade Marketer has turned network marketing on it’s head. Well, let’s qualify that statement; it has created a new playing field in the prospecting stakes to such an extent that former failures within the MLM business field are now becoming some of the biggest success stories.

Why?

Because the shackles of old school network marketing lead generation has been thrown out the window and MLMers are now embracing the powerful attraction marketing model which can be more easily applied by marketing online.

So is this a recipe for instant success? No it isn’t because just like off line network marketing, it takes a very special ingredient for making the whole process work. What is it? It’s called action and without it, a business will remain in a holding pattern until someone puts their foot down on the accelerator and get’s the vehicle moving.

The Power Of Cause And Effect

The simple truth is, if you don’t take action in network marketing nothing will happen. So what’s the problem? Is it the self belief and law of attraction principles being taught to motivator team members?

Well, in a nutshell, it may certainly be responsible to a great extent with many followers of the law of attraction forgetting one simple rule…you still need to take action.

A successful network marketing business is built on a plan of cause and effect. It is not built by manufacturing it out of thin air.

This concept is so misunderstood by the masses who need to realize yes, it’s great to think prosperous thoughts and be positive within your mind but simply thinking of something constantly is not going to build a website or a blog for you.

You can be given the light switch but you need to turn it on to get the light. In other words, by following up your thought process with the accompanying action on a consistent basis will get you results.

There’s an old story about a gentlemen who believed in the law of attraction and dreamed of winning the lottery. When he died and arrived at the Pearly Gates he asked St. Peter…”Why didn’t I win the lottery?”…to which St Peter replied…”First you need to buy a ticket!”

Taking The Short Steps

This is a mentality which affects to many with a network marketing business. Here’s a trick for those with a renegade streak which will get your business up and running and in growth mode:

1. Write down a list of the things you need to do in your business which will help it grow.

2. At the beginning of the week, pick one of those things and make it your main focus for the week.

3. The next week, follow the same process and do this for a month.

So as a Renegade Marketer your list may look something like this:

- build a website
- build a blog
- build and promote a Squidoo Lens
- build and promote a Hub Page
- build and promote a Wikidot page
- write articles and submit them to article directories
- find related blogs and leave helpful comments on them

Do you see where we are going with this? By actioning a specific task and completing it each week do you think by the end of six months you have built yourself some presence online.

It’s all about cause and effect. Whatever business building task you do today, no matter how small, will impact your business in a positive way somewhere down the track.

When you have tons of these small business building tasks completed then suddenly a small trickle can turn into a raging torrent. But you have to take the action. It’s the power of cause and effect. The Renegade Marketer gives you the blueprint for succeeding online and you just have to be prepared to action it.

There are many factors you need to consider when deciding whether you have found a fixer upper home worthy of buying. From location to the purchase price, the list of considerations may seem overwhelming before concluding you have a profitable home on your hands.

Location, Location, Location

The first area of focus is the home’s location. It doesn’t matter what type of property you are investing in or area of the country, if the location isn’t right then you are simply not going to make any significant money on it.

Evaluate the neighborhood, where the house is situated on the street, and its proximity to appealing schools or large businesses. Many people initially filter home options based strictly on its location, and if yours isn’t situated in a popular area, you will have difficulty selling that home.

The Home Itself

The next factor to evaluate is whether the house is actually a fixer upper at all. Although some homes are advertised as such - making them easy to find - not all are described as homes you can fix up.

Check all homes within your budget, and take a leisurely drive around the city looking for those that may not be advertised in the local newspaper. By talking with friends and networking a bit, you may also be able to locate fixer uppers that aren’t even yet on the market for sale.

Don’t Skip a Professional Inspection

When you do find the home you think you may like to purchase, you will do yourself a huge favor by taking the time and small expenses to have the house professionally inspected. The inspector should check every nook and cranny of the house to let you know exactly what you need to do to fix it up for resale.

Many problems with real estate may go completely unnoticed by a novice investor, but a certified inspector can provide a much more accurate idea of what you will actually have to spend. Along with the inspection, you need a reputable contractor to estimate the projected costs of the repairs. It is important to seek several estimates to determine an average cost and, of course, to help you save money.

Your Buy and Sell Prices

Two of the other most important aspects of knowing whether a home should be a “contender” are the purchase price and the projection of a realistic reselling price. Most fixer uppers are available in a distressed condition, making them more affordable than newer, contemporary homes.

It is not at all unusual buy a fixer upper for at least 20% below market value. That is your profit potential! However you have to ensure you can sell it for a great price once the renovations are completed. Definitely do your best to negotiate a great price when you buy it so that when you do resell, you can do so at a desirable profit.

Riddled with Riddles

Which comes first, the mama alligator or the egg? Unlike the puzzle of the legendary Sphinx, this question remains unresolved to this day. Akin to this riddle is the poser - do you work for the money or to justify your eistence? This is a good question for those staring at empty gold money clips.

With the cost of gas still soaring and the dollar teetering precariously, pray tell who is working that hard to validate his or her existence? The employed or people working for somebody also employed have to survive with the little that goes into their wallets or leather money clips.

Reasons Why You Should Work Hard for the Money

Those who say that money is not the lot are rolling in it and may not be working for it. They are the fortunate ones; but to tell you there is more to life than work when they haven’t seen your credit card bills smacks of bigotry. Do not spin]listen to|heed[/spin] them. This is good advice in these financially unstable times. Yet there is more to work than just receiving a paycheck. Here are the top five rational reasons why you should keep on working:

* The money you earn gives you choices because the money clamped in your money clip is yours to spend. You can decide if you fancy a new scooter or get insurance.
* You learn to perfect the art of making smart choices. Aware that times are hard, your choice to get insurance for the rainy days is smart.
* You are your own boss. Not a one can lord it over you because he or she feeds you.
* You hone your skills. The better you become at something, your chances for financially viable opportunities are high.
* You beat boredom to death. You have something to work on everyday while the pampered ones are ready to climb the walls because there is nothing new to do. They have exhausted all those fun activities money can buy, or they are plain lazy.

Balancing Work and Play

It is not written in stone that you cannot have fun because you have to work in order to survive. Work-related stress is the curse of the 21st century. More Americans are suffering from stress and according to Jerrod Greenberg in his textbook Stress Management, one in three people endure stress daily and others have to endure it everyday. To keep mentally and physically fit, relax to diffuse stress.

But harmonizing the two different poles is challenging and more so if you have a family. It is a matter of incorporating play and relaxation in the daily routine. A best way to loosen up without the cost is listening to your favorite mood music after a long day at work or relishing an afternoon at the park with the family on weekends.

The point is to relax to have an improved frame of mind for work - you still have to work hard for the money.

Finding an affordable wedding photography package isn’t easy. Every bride wants the best for her wedding, but the reality is that not every bride can afford the best. While the sky may be the limit for some lucky engaged couples, most that are planning a wedding are on a budget. The first aspect of a wedding that is slashed for costs is the professional wedding photographer.

budget wedding photography
The reason for this is that budget wedding photography prices are anything but standardized. Depending on the photographer you select, the format and style of wedding photography and the length of the celebration, the base rate can fluctuate wildly. Added to this is the fact that there are almost limitless options in the wedding photography package. The more extras you add, the higher the price.

Many who are seeking budget wedding photography decide to spend their money on hiring a better photographer to do less work. Rather than selecting a lower priced photographer and ordering a huge photo package, they go with the photographer that they most trust and order a smaller package.

Some couples even forgo the traditional contemporary wedding photography package altogether and simply buy the negatives or original digital images from the photographer. These couples then use their own technological savvy to create personalized albums and reprints that are meaningful to them.

wedding photography
Some professional wedding photographers maintain a traditionalist view. They feel that as the expert, the wedding photographer is the only one truly suited to put together the wedding album. This argument does have some merit. The photographer is the only one who knows what he or she was trying to convey in each shot.

Additionally, the photographer works closely with trusted contacts at the developing lab and is able to judge when photos return with imperfections. He or she is familiar with color balance and stylistic concerns and is therefore quite adept at placing the photos within the album to create a pleasing whole.

In today’s world, many people have learned how to use their computers and digital cameras to their benefit. Today’s couples are generally quite adept at working with photos, doing retouches and fixing color problems on their home computers. This approach truly makes the wedding album a personal experience.

Many couples opt for the best of both worlds. These couples purchase a basic wedding photography package that includes a small album and a few reprints. They also purchase the original media and create a personalized album as well.

wedding photography videography
They may do reprints and reorders themselves, or they may order these items from their photographer, depending on how much time and money they have. This way, the couple receives a classic wedding album to show their children and grandchildren, as well as the ability to personalize and scrapbook to their hearts’ content.

Wedding photography packages are as wide and varied as the people who buy them. The market is also changing every day, and more options become available with each passing moment. Whether your wedding is traditional or something out of the ordinary, there is a professional wedding photographer to match your tastes.

Don’t forget that you don’t have to buy the whole wedding photography package, either. You can always hire a photographer for his time and buy the negatives and proofs or you can find a package that offers you a little bit everything you want. The choice is always up to you.
